Adventure Fit
May 2, May 30 and June 14: The Boulder-based organization is offering three upcoming competitions, including the SHAPE Diva Dash, a women’s obstacle run May 2 in Lyons; the Beer Relay and Burning Can Beer Fest, a six-hour endurance trail running and beer drinking event May 30 in Lyons; and the Urban Assault Ride, a bike race/ scavenger hunt June 14 in Denver. Armed Forces Community Run/America’s Kids Run
May 9: A rare opportunity to run on the Peterson AFB with a 10K starting at 8:30 a.m. and a 5K starting at 8:45 a.m. $35, $30 in advance. The America’s Kids Run with bouncy castles, balloon animals and face painting begins at 8 a.m. Free. A government-issued ID card, such as a driver’s license, is required for access.

Airlife Memorial 5K/10K Run/Walk and Volleyball Tournament
May 9: The 18th annual 5K/10K Run/Walk and EMS Volleyball Tournament also includes a Kids Run. Registration begins at 7 a.m. The 5K/10K begins at 8 a.m. for runners, 8:05 a.m. 5K for walkers, 9:30 a.m. Kids Fun Run and 10:30 a.m. Volleyball Challenge. $30 for adults, $15 for kids for 5K walk and 5K and 10K run through May 8; kids fun run free. Family-friendly activities including vendor booths, safety and rescue demonstrations, a bounce house and food continues until 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Friends of AirLife, a nonprofit that works to maintain AirLife Memorial Park, Colorado EMS education through the James Alan Ulrich Scholarship Fund, the recognition of local EMS leaders to help families of EMS professionals who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Camp Magic Mud Run
May 17: Camp Chief Ouray in Granby hosts its third annual run offering a 2K or 5K course with obstacles and fun stations. The 5K starts at 10:30 a.m., the 2K follows. $35-$40. Colorado Rockies Home Run for the Homeless
May 3: “Go to bat for the community” is the theme for the annual benefit that follows a course downtown with a lap around the warning track inside Coors Field. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., a 5K walk starts at 8:05 a.m. and a Kids Fun Run starts at 10 a.m. for children age 10 and under. A post-race party includes entertainment and prizes. Registration fees are $45 for adults, $20 for seniors (55+) and children (17 and under).
Furry Scurry
May 2: The Dumb Friends League’s 22nd annual benefit to help homeless animals is a 2-mile dog-friendly walk starting at 9 a.m. Registration opens at 7 a.m. Pet-friendly vendors, demonstrations, contests and refreshments are included.
