
1 Drunken driving mayhem. A suspected drunken driver ran over traffic cones in oncoming traffic and raced through residential neighborhoods while fleeing police in the area of West 67th Avenue and Webster Street in Arvada on April 15. Minutes after officers were ordered to stop the pursuit, the car reappeared and almost crashed into a police cruiser. The driver was found hiding in bushes after wrecking her car in a nearby yard.
2 K9 unit deployed. Police used a K9 unit near West 67th Place and Upham Street in Arvada on April 11 to track a cheating boyfriend who entered his ex-girlfriend’s house unannounced and started a verbal argument. The man fled after grabbing her arms to end a 911 call.
3 Urinating man busted. A man caught urinating April 14 behind Chick-fil-A, 5236 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, told police no one could see him so it didn’t matter. He was issued a summons.
4 Tool thief strikes. Two construction trailers packed with tools were reported burglarized April 13 in the 18600 block of West 84th Place, Arvada. Police could not identify a suspect, and noted a similar theft had recently occurred in the same area.
5 Wanted driver nabbed. Police arrested the driver of a 1996 Honda Accord on April 14 near the 6800 block of Sheridan Boulevard, Arvada, for an outstanding drug paraphernalia warrant.
6 Tax refund scam. A woman electronically filing her taxes April 13 in the 6000 block of Johnson Way, Arvada, was denied because her Social Security number had already been used. She was referred to the IRS criminal investigations unit.
