A wet Denver weather forecast is pushing back the launch of Denver Civic Center park’s food truck season from Tuesday to Thursday.
“We’ve never had to do this on opening day before, but we’ve never started this early in the spring either,” said Lindy Eichenbaum Lent, executive director of the Civic Center Conservancy.
She noted that the Thursday forecast looks more promising, so that will be the first day of Civic Center Eats 2015.
When Civic Center Eats does launch, trucks will dish up everything from soft tacos to banh mi sandwiches to gyros on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Oct. 8. Hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
This is the 10th year for the Civic Center Eats tradition. And there’s live music as well.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Civic Center Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring and boosting the historic Civic Center park.
