A credit union in Broomfield was robbed Monday in what officials believe is the on-going work of a man they’ve dubbed the “Longhorn Bandit.”
The Wheat Ridge, Aurora, Broomfield, Arvada and Lakewood Police Departments and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating six bank robberies, one casing, and two attempted bank robberies that began in February.
In several of the robberies, officials said the suspect was seen wearing a light colored baseball cap with a longhorn on it and in the most recent robbery, a white baseball cap with an American flag.
The incidents have occurred in Wheat Ridge, Aurora and Arvada, among other locations.
