After a tough election in 2011, Denver City Councilwoman Mary Beth Sussman ran unopposed this year in a district where traffic remains a huge concern.
Incomplete returns showed her receiving 99.97 percent of the vote.
Congestion, caused by redevelopment, is the uniter from older leafy neighborhoods to the buildout of the former Lowry Air Force Base.
“I sometimes say the three biggest issues are traffic, traffic and traffic,” said Sussman, who lives in Hilltop .
She has made increasing transit access a priority, but has caught flak from some neighborhood activists.
Sussman has served as council president.
