Denver police said officers, using crisis intervention training, defused a situation Tuesday in which a man was waving a gun at 4300 Elliot Street.
The department said on its Twitter feed that after receiving calls for help, officers convinced the man to drop the gun.
The department said that man was undergoing a mental evaluation.
