1 Lost. On April 22, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy contacted the driver of a vehicle parked on the side of the road at Colorado 74 and Troublesome Gulch Road, Kittredge. The driver said he traveled from New Mexico and Arizona but was headed for “no place in particular.” He told deputies he thought he was in Arizona. Deputies observed the odor of alcohol and that the driver’s eyes were watery. The driver completed a roadside sobriety test and was released.

2 Restaurant altercation. Two parties involved in an altercation April 21 at Golden Stix, 25567 Conifer Road, Conifer, filed reports with the sheriff’s office. One man, a customer, claimed he received poor service and was threatened after tipping one cent. The other man, a manager, said the customer was rude during a previous visit and used racial slurs when confronted about the tip. Without any third-party witnesses, no charges were made.

3 Parked road rage. A man reported April 22 that after parking at the end of his brother’s driveway in the 10000 block of South Ridge Road, Conifer, he was confronted by neighbors, who yelled expletives at him for parking on the road. The victim recorded some of the confrontation with his phone, but was unable to verify the license plate of the suspects’ vehicle in order to press charges.

4 Suspicious person. Jeffco Sheriff’s deputies responded April 20 to a suspicious person report in the 20000 block of U.S. 40, Evergreen. The man was wearing a shirt that read “Jesus Christ,” and in possession of a sign that read “thumbing it.” He was cooperative and left on foot without incident.
