Interview with Kevin Labonte, owner
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I recognized an opportunity to start a transportation business in an area that is underserved. When services are needed, they cost more because they are not being provided by a local company. A Denver-based company has to drive farther to provide service.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We generally care about and take part in our local community’s activities. We support several charities, local chambers of commerce and government. We also support police agencies with their charity efforts. We provide excellent customer service by having a live person who answers the phone and provides quotes for service. We get to know our customers and they know us. We provide clean, safe, newer vehicles for our customers. Drivers are professionally trained and have to pass an FBI fingerprint background check.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I like helping people celebrate special times in their life. I like to see smiles.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: My biggest challenges are things that add cost to the overhead of doing business. Items such as changing regulations, rising insurance, road tolls and airport fees. There is also cost in training and keeping the best drivers possible.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: Pricing is not fixed. Tell me your story or circumstance and we will do our best to work with you. We want to develop a long-term relationship with our family of clients.
