Re: “NFL finds Patriots employees probably deflated balls,” May 7 news story.
Even my 8-year-old grandson realized that New England Patriots locker room attendant Jim McNally and equipment assistant John Jastremski would never have deflated any footballs without the permission and blessing of quarterback Tom Brady. The NFL should put a nice big dent in the Patriots’ Super Bowl trophy as a testimony that it was earned with the illegal benefit of deflated footballs. It would then reveal for all to see and remind us how clever they were. In the future, Brady would try to hold his head high when sports people discuss the honor and integrity of the victorious NFL football teams.

Specify standards for the ball itself, and then let each team have whatever pressure their quarterback likes best and then tell them to just shut up and play ball! There is no advantage for anyone if each team can have what they like.
