“The Muppets” revival ordered by ABC

ABC announced its 2015-16 primetime schedule, keeping most of the lineup intact, with four nights unchanged, notably the Shonda Rhimes Thursday dramas (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” “How to Get Away with Murder”).

Among the rare changes: “The Muppets,” a revival of the vintage family show, leads off the Tuesday lineup, followed by the return of “Fresh Off the Boat.” The dramas “Oil” and “Of Kings and Prophets” join the Sunday slate, in the place of cancelled “Resurrection” and “Revenge.” The Ken Jeong comedy “Dr. Ken” joins Fridays following “Last Man Standing.”

ABC, the only major network to hold its audience and increase the younger target demographic, will keep its Wednesday comedy block as is, and “Dancing with the Stars” and “Castle” remain in their Monday berths.

The “Uncle Buck” reboot has been pushed to midseason.
