Through June 27. Artist Pard Morrison’s objects are simple upon first sight — straightforward lines and squares that connect into something resembling pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The longer you look at his colorful constructions, though, the more puzzling they become as they appear to take on dimension and morph into a language of symbols. What do they represent? Morrison doesn’t say, other than to give us some interesting clues with titles like “Wolves in a Hollow Log” and “Cloud Drip.” But it’s less about representation and more about how we build meaning into the things we see. With Morrison, the journey is equal to the destination. Through June 27, Rule Gallery, 3254 Walnut St. Free. 303-800-6776 or .
