High Noon Entertainment, the prolific Colorado production company, is pitching “Green Man Cannabis” as a reality-TV series. The series would follow company founder Christian Hageseth, a leader in the emerging legalized marijuana industry and author of “Big Weed: An Entrepreneur’s High-Stakes Adventures In The Budding Legal Marijuana Business.”
Jim Berger, CEO of High Noon, said “the behind-the-scenes world of this Wild West industry is complex and fascinating, and Christian is at the forefront. He’s a dynamic guide into this new world.” High Noon has the series in development along with Dan Farah’s Farah Films.
“We’re pitching wide to a myriad of top-tier cable networks, ” Berger said. High Noon plans to shoot the first season in Colorado.
The series would join a long list of docu-series about Colorado’s adventures in legalizing pot on CNN, MSNBC and TruTV.NBC recently bought the scripted comedy “Buds” for the 2015-16 development cycle, and “Rolling Papers” is a forthcoming film from Mitch Dickman tracking The Post’s coverage of the issue. — Joanne Ostrow, Denver Post Television Critic
