A red-light camera monitors traffic at the intersection of Lincoln Street and 6th Avenue in Denver. (Joe Amon, Denver Post file)
The folks complaining about red-light cameras must never ride a bike or walk. Letap place those cameras at every intersection and make the fines 10 times higher. It would end the deadly practice of red-light running. It would end daily brushes with “death by car” for those of us who pedal more often than drive or who step off the curb with the “walk” sign. Heck, it might allow us pedestrians to get in our live-dangerously time doing something other than crossing a Colorado street.
