
1 Home away from home. An employee at Extra Space Storage at 2950 W. 96th Ave., Federal Heights, found a man sleeping in his storage unit May 6. The unit was covered with a blue tarp, and the drunken suspect told officers that he stayed there to get a break from his life. He was cited.
2 Neighbor wars. A man who lives in the 7200 block of East 69th Avenue, Commerce City, called police because his neighbor’s dog was barking. At the same time May 14, the neighbor who owned the dog called police because her complaining neighbor climbed her fence and threatened to shoot her dog. Police cited the original neighbor for harassment.
3 Passing out on the lawn. Thornton police were called to an apartment complex in the 10500 block of Colorado Boulevard because a resident spotted a man asleep on the grass May 17. The suspect was drunk and went into custody.
4 Crash camper. The owner of All Points Towing at 4950 Niagara St., Commerce City, called police May 13 because someone kept breaking into a camper trailer on the property. The owner said he periodically found clothes, junk food wrappers and a skateboard in the camper, which didn’t lock. There are no suspects.
5 Resisting arrest. Employees at the K-Mart at 1400 E. 104th Avenue, Thornton, detained a female shoplifter May 13 who kept punching and thrashing at them. She was arrested.
6 Random shots. A man who lives in the 9800 block of North Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights, reported that someone shot a BB gun at his home and cracked one of his windows May 6.
