EVERGREEN — The Jefferson Conservation District is bringing its Junior Master Gardener program for kids to Evergreen’s community garden this summer.

The program, for children in third through fifth grades, is a , according to its website, jmgkids.us.

This program will be hands-on in the community garden at Buchanan Park in two multiweek sessions. The first session runs June 2-July 2 and the second is July 7-Aug. 6. Tuition is $150 per session and discounts and scholarships are available.

The program is being offered through a partnership between the nonprofit Evergreen’s Alliance for Sustainability and You, and Jefferson Conservation District.

is one of 76 state-run conservation districts in Colorado that partner with landowners, communities and local, state and federal entities to help protect natural resources.
