Mostlanes in both directions of Interstate 70 at Peoria Street were closed Tuesday afternoon and into the evning after an accident left a dump truck straddling the median.
Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions for hours. Only the far right lanes were getting through.
The Colorado Department of Transportation finally announced at 9:45 p.m. that the the accident had been cleared.
Denver police said there were injuries suffered in the crash.
