AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — The Air Force Academy has graduated one of its smallest classes in recent years.

The Gazette (http://bit.ly/1AA3iPV ) reports that the Class of 2015 was winnowed down from about 1,100 cadets four years ago to the 841 cadets who graduated Thursday.

They were officially commissioned as second lieutenants in the Air Force. About 40 percent of them will go on to pilot training.

The ceremony at Falcon Stadium ended with a traditional flyover by the Thunderbirds just as the cadets tossed their hats into the air.
