Galvanize will expand to London this summer and offer data-science courses inside .
The Denver company, which offers hard-core tech training, plans to hire a full team for the new London location, which will add to its existing 50 full-time instructors at five U.S. campuses.
“This is something they (Google) want to have. They’ve seen how we integrate education into everything we do,” Galvanize co-founder Chris Onan said. “They most recently hired more of our data-science grads. This is the next step.”
Google’s London facility is more of a co-working space, although it does offer some classes, such as Campus For Mums, a 10-week, baby-friendly program for mothers who want to start a business.
Galvanize has expanded from in 2012. It recently opened a second location in Denver, plus it’s expanded to Boulder, Seattle and San Francisco. More international expansions could be on the way, Onan hinted.
