
1 Gun drawn on auto thief, drug dealer. An officer drew his handgun and ordered the driver of a stolen 2006 Nissan Altima out of the vehicle May 19 in the 6400 block of Sheridan Boulevard in Arvada. A pat down revealed a bounty of illegal narcotics, including 12 grams of meth, a half-gram of LSD and other baggies of assorted drugs. The suspect — a convicted sex offender — said he borrowed the pants from a man named Tony and he was unaware the pockets were filled with drugs. He was arrested.
2 Joyride ends in wreck. Three men riding a stolen Toyota sedan made an illegal left turn May 19 near West 87th Drive and Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada and smashed into a purple Saturn. The three fled, and police found and arrested one of the suspects.
3 Jilted wife attacks. A night of drinking May 15 in the 6000 block of West 61st Place, Arvada, ended when a woman accused her husband of cheating. She began pummeling him in the face as he tried to leave and was arrested shortly after.
4 Domestic violence. A woman was punched in the face by her boyfriend as she attempted to leave a room they had been arguing in on May 19 in the 7800 block of Teller Street, Arvada. The man fled, but was quickly found and arrested.
5 Shoplifters busted. A loss prevention specialist at King Soopers, 8055 Sheridan Blvd., Arvada, flagged down an officer May 14 as two women who had been filmed shoplifting were still in the store. Officers waited outside and ticketed one and arrested the other as the duo left.
