The Westin Hotel at Denver International Airport, which is under construction, is scheduled to open Nov. 19. (Cyrus McCrimmon, The Denver Post)
Re: “Rise and fly, hotel nears opening,” June 2 business news photo.
After reading about the new Westin Hotel due to open in November, I can’t help but think of the blue horse statue with red eyes at the entrance to the airport. What do tourist and newcomers think? I’m not sure what the reason is — the Denver Broncos or the Wild West — but whatever it is, please do something about those red eyes! Itap not only scary but darn right ugly. The blue horse is one thing, but those red eyes! Itap a real eyesore (no pun intended).
