One child passenger was killed and another was hospitalized Sunday evening after a two-vehicle crash in Aurora where Colorado State Patrol troopers were hearing two different stories.

The crash happened at E-470 and 6th Parkway Sunday afternoon as one vehicle was exiting.

When that northbound vehicle rolled, one of two juveniles in it was ejected, patrol spokesman Tim Sutherland said. The juvenile died at Children’s Hospital, where the other was being treated for injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to University Hospital. His condition was unknown.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was not injured.

“We’ve got two conflicting stories,” Sutherland said.

“Either somebody got swiped, or somebody got rear-ended,” he said.

No alcohol or drugs were involved, Sutherland said.

The crash remains under investigation. Names and other details weren’t released.
