A three-vehicle collision and a separate vehicle fire on Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 70 have tied up traffic.

The Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted just before 3 p.m. that a vehicle fire on I-70 eastbound at Ward Road had all lanes blocked and extensive delays were expected.

The Denver Police Department, at about 1:15 p.m., tweeted about a three-vehicle accident, which happened just east of Colorado Boulevard in the westbound lanes. It caused long delays and alternate routes were advised.

No injuries were reported, said Sonny Jackson, a police spokesman. He said the collision involved a semi-truck.
