DENVER (AP) — Gov. John Hickenlooper will pick a new Colorado Supreme Court justice later this month and he has three finalists to choose from.

Hickenlooper has until June 25 to make his appointment to fill the vacancy left by Justice Gregory J. Hobbs Jr.

Hobbs is retiring and his vacancy is effective Sept. 1.

The finalists to replace Hobbs are Richard L. Gabriel, Melissa Hart and David S. Prince. They were chosen by the Supreme Court Nominating Commission, which met this week.
