Thursday: When the The McNichols Project debuted in February, the everyone-is-welcome party in Civic Center delivered one of the biggest surprises of 2015. The event was affordable, clever and very adult. The cocktails flowed and so did the art, everything from dancers to DJs. The Project returns with equal verve next week, promising a broad sampling of craft beers, live music, serious snacks and some adventurous fun inspired by two exhibits on display. “The Art of Rock: Remembering the 1960s” and “Press Play,” a perfect excuse to invite the local group Oh Heck Yeah to set up one of its interactive video games. 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Thursday. McNichols Building, 144 W. Colfax Ave. in Civic Center. $20-$25. .
