Dish Network chief executive Charlie Ergen said T-Mobile remains a logical merger partner for his company.

Ergen, interviewed on Bloomberg TV, declined to comment on possible talks with T-Mobile, while saying the company has “captured the imagination of consumers” with clever marketing that includes no contracts.

Among the negatives, T-Mobile is controlled by a German company that might “not want to do anything,” Ergen said.

Sling TV began service in February with 20 live TV channels, including ESPN and TNT, for $20 a month.
