You’ve heard about an outdoor event being cancelled due to rain, but an indoor one?
The Friday Night Bazaar is a cultural event in Denver put on by the partners of that features food trucks, shopping with local vendors, cocktails, live music and more inside of a refurbished RiNo warehouse.
“It appeals to families, artists and more as we wanted to create something fresh and exciting for the art community on a weekly basis,” said event partners Josh Sampson and Ben Baruch over email.
They chose the RiNo location because they love how the neighborhood embraces the arts and the old warehouse vibe fit what they were looking for. But a major flash flood came through the building during last Friday’s Bazaar and immediately started to flood from all directions.
“It was a full on lake,” they said.

“Forced hiatus via Mother Nature. Friday Night Bazaar is under water.” Friday’s torrential rain and hail had filled the renovated warehouse with water, but this won’t be the end of the event. Baruch and Sampson are already getting a new location ready and are positive that the move will allow them take what they built and make it even better.
“We are using this time to evaluate what we did , how we did it and how we can make everything bigger and better.”
