A major lane configuration scheduled to begin on northbound Interstate 25 on Sunday has been delayed for a week because of the recent bad weather, officials announced.
The reconfiguration, between RidgeGate Parkway and County Line Road in Douglas County, will take place as crews work on a road-widening project.
The interstate will split into two lanes to the left and two lanes to the right of a temporary work zone. The new traffic pattern will be in place for up to three weeks.
Motorists wanting to exit northbound I-25 at the Lincoln Avenue, C-470/E470 or East County Line Road exits must be in the two right lanes prior to the RidgeGate Parkway interchange. The left two lanes will not provide an exit until East Dry Creek Road.
Extensive signage will begin approximately 2 miles south of RidgeGate Parkway to provide motorists with guidance well in advance of the traffic split.
