BOULDER — Boulder County rescue crews on Monday pulled a body from Boulder Creek near where a witness reported seeing a body in the creek Sunday. But they would not confirm if the body was that of a fisherman missing from Denver.
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Cmdr. Heidi Prentup said the body was spotted about 1:30 p.m. in the 40000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive near Dome Rock. Prentup said the body could be that of the fisherman, but she said she would not be able to confirm that until Tuesday.
A witness called 911 about 4:25 p.m. Sunday to report what the caller thought was a person in the water floating down Boulder Creek near the 39000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive, about 1.7 miles upstream from Boulder’s Eben G. Fine Park.
The witness described the person as a man in his mid-30s wearing waders. The last sighting of the person was in the area of Dome Rock, where a witness saw the person go under a bridge, but not emerge on the other side.
