The Army has identified a 19-year-old Fort Carson soldier who died Friday in Kuwait in what the Pentagon says was a “non-combat related incident.”

Pfc. Monterrious T. Daniel, of Griffin, Ga., died at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, the Army said in a Sunday news release.

Daniel, who was a member of the 4th Infantry Division, was serving as part of the military’s operations battling Islamic State militants.

Further information was not immediately released.
