
1 Woman assaults neighbor. On June 1, a man called Denver police after he was punched by a neighbor in the 4600 block of South Balsam Way. The man said he heard arguing coming from his neighbor’s place. When he knocked on the door to ask the neighbors to keep quiet, a woman began arguing with him and punched him in the face.
2 Party gets out of hand at Holiday Inn. On May 31, a Denver police officer was called to Holiday Inn Suites, 6900 Tower Road, on a report of an intoxicated person. The suspect was observed stumbling around and his hand was bleeding. He cursed at the responding officer, who then heard reports of a party the previous evening. The officer saw damage in the room. 3 Woman escapes assault. A woman flagged down a Denver police May 30 after she was assaulted by a man in the 2900 block of West Howard Place. The woman told the officer the man approached her in an aggressive way and she pushed him to get away. The man then tackled her. He tried to steal her purse, but she was able to escape.
4 Service dog causes strife. A man called Denver police June 2 after he was threatened by a neighbor over his service dog in the 200 block of Washington Street. The victim said he was on the roof of his building when the suspect threatened to beat him up.
5 Woman cited for pot. On May 30, a Denver police officer observed a female smoking marijuana near the light rail station at 16th and California Streets. The woman attempted to conceal the pot when the officer approached.
