I had tickets to Brit Floyd at Red Rocks on June 11. Although it was raining, we decided to go. Driving down U.S. 285, we nearly got into an accident in the downpour. Stopping in Littleton, the sky lit up with lightning and thunder. I checked my weather application and the Morrison forecast was severe thunderstorms until 11 p.m. I then got alerts for flash floods in Morrison. We decided to skip the show — our lives are more important than a few hundred dollars. The show was not cancelled — the people attending risked their lives and were luckily to just get drenched by the storm. Lucky no one was struck by lightning.

Who would have been liable if someone had been hit by lightning or drowned in a flash flood? The concert should have been rescheduled. I will no longer attend concerts at Red Rocks.

Scott Simmons, Morrison
