I have committed to “Ride the Rockies” this summer, but not in the bike tour sense.
After years of frustration, disappointment and lack of confidence, I am riding the Colorado Rockies baseball team. We all need to ride the team, especially its ownership, for giving us a mediocre product — again.
Since the only way to get owner Dick Monfortap attention is via economics, we should all pledge to minimize expenditures on game tickets, concessions and official merchandise. Otherwise, there is no motivation for the Rockies to change.
So, letap all ride the Rockies the rest of the year, and see if any improvements can come out of it. It certainly could not make things any worse.
