That little online electronics store SparkFun Electronics isn’t so little anymore. On Saturday, the company is opening its first retail store right on its Niwot campus.

The SparkFun Emporium’s opening coincides with the company’s . It’s too late to , but if you just want to watch the fun, you can for $4.75 (plus a $1.25 fee if you buy online). Spectators can also just show up and buy a ticket on Saturday.
At last year’s competition, which attracted 93 competitors, one team brought in a modified self-driving Jeep. This year, in addition to the races, the event will , including ones on 3-D printing (taught by neighbor ), aquaponics and bee keeping!
Saturday’s schedule:
9 a.m.: Event opens to public
9:15 a.m.: Ribbon cutting on new SparkFun Emporium
9:45 a.m.: Opening ceremonies
10 a.m.-12 p.m.: First heat of vehicle races (this is probably the best time to film, as every entrant will race once during this 2-hour window)
1:30-3:30 p.m.: Last race heat
3:30-4:30 p.m.: Awards presentation and closing ceremonies
