Denver police and firefighters raced to a residential area east of downtown late Sunday where a roof collapsed.

No one was hurt in the incident, Denver Fire spokeswoman Melissa Taylor said at the scene.

Neighbors gathered in front of the house at 1574 Hudson St., just north of Colfax Avenue in Park Hill. The road was closed between Colfax and 17th Avenue.

A woman in the house called police Sunday night when when the roof collapsed.

Roofers had been working on the house during the week. A roofing company representative was at the scene but did not speak to reporters.
