The U.S. Treasury plans to redesign the $10 bill. It will feature a woman but will still include Alexander Hamilton. (Associated Press)
Re: “Replace Jackson, not Hamilton, on U.S. currency,” June 18 news story.
Whether a woman will next appear on the $10 bill or $20 bill, I suggest that the decision be a feminine one. Since no woman has the constitutional authority to name this figure, why doesn’t the secretary of the Treasury delegate the decision to a committee consisting of all women in the U.S. Senate and all women in the U.S. House of Representatives? These women represent voters both male and female across the country.
