Authorities on Tuesday identified two of the men who in western Colorado.

The Moffat County coroner’s office said Richard Francis Zinter, 34, of Denver died Saturday in a rafting accident on the Green River in Dinosaur National Monument.

The Eagle County coroner said Tuesday that 63-year-old Jerry Young of Grand Junction drowned Sunday when he fell out of an inflatable kayak on the Fryingpan River.

According to the Basalt & Rural Fire Protection District, Young and a friend put in at Seven Castles but got separated. Young was pulled from the river by bystanders who attempted to resuscitate him.

Dinosaur National Monument officials said Zinter and three others were passengers in a raft that flipped in the portion of the river known as Triplet Falls. The others were able to make it to shore.

Triplet Falls is in a remote portion of Dinosaur National Monument about 12 river miles from the monument’s northern boundary.
