Alpaca Owners Association Fleece Conference
June 28. The inaugural AOA national conference continues through June 28 at the Holiday Inn Denver, East Stapleton, 3333 Quebec St., with seminars, meetings, competitions and more. Doors open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 28 with vendors offering various items made from alpaca fleece including clothing, rugs, socks and more. Admission is free.
Fancy Tiger 9th Anniversary Celebration
June 27. Fancy Tiger Crafts and Fancy Tiger Clothing are hosting a “9 Year Anniversary Celebration.” Festivities begin at 10 a.m. at Fancy Tiger Crafts (59 Broadway) where the first 100 people through the door receive craft supplies from local vendors. Guests also receive a free cotton tea towel (left) with locally-printed illustrations with any purchase over $20 (one per customer, while supplies last). Fancy Tiger Crafts T-shirts will be available for purchase. Fancy Tiger Clothing (55 Broadway) opens at 11 with refreshments and a 10 percent storewide discount. Customers will receive a free limited edition Fancy Tiger Clothing embroidered patch with any purchase over $20 (one per customer, while supplies last). Both stores are open until 7 p.m.

Bark N Benefit Down on the Farm
June 27. has partnered with inside/out for a benefit for homeless animals and its animal rescue programs, 4 to 9 p.m., at Coyote Ridge Farm, located east of Boulder at 7217 Coyote Trail. Live bluegrass music, a silent auction, farm-to-table food and games are included. Author Marc Bekoff, “The Emotional Lives of Animals,” will sign copies of his books. Admission is a donation of $35, $55 includes an inside/out t-shirt. Dogs welcome, must have proof of current vaccinations. Visit the website for more information and reservations.
