Parachute Police are searching for the mother and father suspected of homicide in the death of their 4-week-old daughter.
Police believe the parents, Matthew Ogden, and Phyllis Wyatt, are heading to California, and that they presently could be in the St. Paul, Minn. area, according to a release.
Police found the infant unresponsive and not breathing on June 20 at the Cottonwood View Apartments in Parachute.
The child was declared dead at Grand River Hospital in Rifle a few hours later. The Garfield County coroner ruled the death a homicide.
The suspects are believed to be driving a 1998 light colored Plymouth Sedan with California Plates 3WRH941.
Ogden is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes, and multiple tattoos. He is wanted for first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death and child abuse causing bodily injury.
Wyatt is 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is wanted for child abuse causing death with criminal negligence.
