Kaiser Permanente has selected a new location in the Gateway Plaza at Meridian in Douglas County for its National Claims Administration team, which is actively recruiting for 75 positions over the next year, officials announced Tuesday.

The new building will house almost 250 existing Kaiser Permanente employees who process claims for Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii and Mid-Atlantic and Northwest states. Officials said they expect the claims-processing staff to reach 400 by 2017.

The existing claims team has outgrown the office space it shares with other Kaiser administrative services at Waterpark in Aurora, Kaiser spokeswoman Amy Whited said.

Construction on the interior is set to begin later this summer. Employees are expected to relocate there in phases beginning in late 2015.
