Littleton and Erie girls soccer teams received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s 2015 spring high school Team Ethics and Sportsmanship awards.
Twenty-six teams total received either a gold, silver or bronze version of the award that recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game.
Five girls soccer teams, including Littleton, were honored with the Gold Team Ethics Award for completing the entire 2015 spring season without receiving either a yellow or red card.
Nineteen teams, including Erie, received the silver award, given for accumulating no red cards and no more than five yellow cards.
Two squads won bronze awards, presented to teams that receive no reds and a maximum of 10 yellows.
