A brush fire near Timnath Reservoir has burned an acre to an acre and a half on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Preliminary reports indicated that the fire is the result of an escaped controlled burn, said Poudre Fire Authority spokesman Patrick Love.

Poudre Fire said the incident was located in the 2300 block of South County Road 5.

As of 3:15 p.m., Love said there were no structures threatened by the flames.

Further information about the fire was not immediately available.
