MANITOU SPRINGS — Patricia Cameron of Manitou Springs burned the Confederate flag Saturday in Soda Springs Park, the Gazette reported.
Cameron said she decided to burn the flag after talking to friends in Houston and Washington, D.C.
The event went on without interruption or counter-protest. Around 20 people were on-hand, many of whom were already in the park for a Fourth of July celebration. Cameron brought eight supporters.
