Tracy Tutton working with Avalanche defenseman prospect Mason Geertsen

The Avalanche development camp has started at Family Sports Center, and the most interesting part of the first on-ice session for skaters — involving the six-man Gray unit — was that much of the work was with skating coach Tracy Tutton.

That unit included Connor Bleackley, Mikko Rantanen, Anton Lindholm, Kyle Wood, Mason Geertsen and Nicolas Meloche.

Tutton works with other NHL teams too.

The Blue group has just come on the ice for its roughly one-hour session, and then the Burgundy will follow.
