Former Eaglecrest High School has been cruising along with the (U.S. WJNT) at the 2015 European Global Challenge.

The team has a 1-2 mark in the exhibition matches leading up to the European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia.

The ladies’ first two losses were to the Italian Junior National Team in Trieste, Italy (July 5: 20-25, 25-21, 25-18; July 7: 12-25, 16-25, 25-20, 21-25). But on Wednesday, the 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 29-27).

Poulter, a 6-foot setter bound for the University of Illinois, had two blocks, one kill and one ace in Wednesday’s victory. Her performance, along with the other setter’s, helped the U.S. to a 40.6 kill percent with a .232 hitting efficiency.

The University of Denver’s associate head coach, Tom Hogan, for the second consecutive year. Hogan led the 2014 U.S. WJNT to the gold medal at the 2014 North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Women’s U-20 Continental Championship in Guatemala.

The ladies will play another exhibition game Friday against Nova Katrem Branik. The opening ceremonies are on Sunday. The European Global Challenge matches begin Monday, and will wrap up Thursday.
