One person was injured in a fire Thursday night at an Avon condominium complex.

The Eagle River Fire Protection District responded to the fire about 9 p.m. on Nottingham Road, officials say.

“When crews arrived, the upper floor and the roof of a Bristol Pines condominium were aflame, but an aggressive attack was able to bring the fire under control in less than 25 minutes,” the ERFPD said in a news release.

The person injured in the fire was taken to Vail Valley Medical Center. An update on the person’s condition was not immediately available Friday morning.

“The rest of the building was evacuated and no other injuries were reported,” the release said. “Residents of all but one other unit were allowed back into their homes around 11:00 p.m.”

The fire remains under investigation.
