Re: “Hillary Clinton’s everyday feminism,” July 5 Lisa Wirthman column.

Lisa Wirthman’s column on Hillary Clinton’s everyday feminism seems to suggest that Clinton could run a winning campaign in Colorado on women’s issues. I would refer Wirthman back to the 2014 campaign that Sen. Mark Udall ran against Cory Gardner. Udall ran numerous campaign ads on women and birth control to the exclusion of other issues. It failed.

Feminist issues are far down the list. Female (and male) voters are worried about the economy, the debt, opportunities for their kids — and for me, the appearance of America as being weak in foreign policy.

I will grant that Hillary Clinton talks a good game, but talk is cheap. Much easier to accept millions in donations and speaking fees for her foundation from countries with lousy records on women’s rights.

Lisa Wirthman writes, “The economy is stronger when more women are involved, not just a token few. This is not because women are inherently better than men, but because diversity of thought and experience is better than a narrow view.”

Wirthman’s is the narrow view, if you ask me. Whether she said it or not, she implies women are inherently better than men.

Suppose for a minute a male head of a prestigious college were to say, “Men are not inherently better than women, but the football team does bring in more money than women’s soccer.” Do you think for a minute he would last a whole week with the feminist lobby crying for his head on a pike? He would be gone in a flash, as history has already proved more than once. He would be apologizing ad infinitum.

So, what gives Wirthman the right to denigrate and slur men with ill-conceived statements and impunity?

Lisa Wirthman insults the great majority of American women with this piece. Hillary Clinton is known to be incompetent and a liar. She is a demonstrably a crook and arguably a criminal. Without regard for gender or political philosophy, any person of good character will not support her.
