Sharpe idea.Who’s the sportswoman of the year? It’s Wimbledon champion Serena Williams!

Shannon Sharpe, former Broncos tight end

Kiz: The most dominant U.S. athlete of the past 20 years? As history writes new twists in the story, maybe it wasn’t Barry Bonds, Lance Armstrong or Tiger Words. Maybe Williams most deserves to wear that crown. What’s more, as we enter the second half of the year, having already seen Ronda Rousey and the U.S. women’s soccer team kick butt and take names, it seems obvious females now rule sports in America like no other time in our history.

Let’s talk Tulo. Kiz, I admire you for talking to Rockies players on subjects that must be uncomfortable for them but are issues that fans want to know about. Given that shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is a remarkable player, but with a huge contract and a history of injuries, what do you think are the Rockies’ realistic chances of trading him?

David, Fort Collins

Kiz: The real question is how much money franchise owner Dick Monfort would be willing to eat in order to trade Tulowitzki. Fair or not, the regime of new general manager Jeff Bridich will be defined by his ability to maximize return on Tulo. So it’s not imperative that he is moved by the July 31 deadline. It’s essential the trade brings Colorado a pitcher capable of becoming a top-of-the-rotation starter within three years of the deal being closed.

All packed to see the Pack. I read your column about the Broncos’ half-price ticket sale, Kiz, and wanted you to know that it wasn’t just Denver where time stopped. The tickets went on sale at 6 p.m. in England, and I was counting down for 30 minutes. Quick reactions meant I got the Green Bay game I was after, so I will be attending my first game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Mark, pond jumper

Kiz: Call it a wild guess, but I expect the Broncos will be playing a road game against a London-based NFL franchise within the next 10 years. If the league allows the Chargers and the Raiders to move to Los Angeles, maybe Stan Kroenke should consider relocating his Rams to England — with an invitation to the Jaguars to tag along.

Free agency isn’t free. And today’s parting shot begs for the Nuggets to get rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay some quality help.

Geez, Kiz, with the signing of power forward Greg Monroe, the Milwaukee Bucks are drawing better unrestricted free agents than the Nuggets. This is the golden era of midmarket NBA teams with the 2016 salary cap ballooning. Denver deserves better.

Mark, wants more from the Kroenkes
