Getting your player ready...

During the lunch hour, people ride the shuttle that runs the length of the downtown 16th Street Mall in Denver. City officials are bringing in Copenhagen-based Gehl Architects for a study on revitalizing the mall.

Re: “Study to revitalize Denver’s 16th Street Mall seeks “linger” factor,” July 13 news story.

Save your money, Denver. Buses are not the problem on the 16th Street Mall; the mall stinks. It stinks of unwashed citizens, moldy sleeping bags, mildewed cardboard signs, human waste in the alleyways, and marijuana smoke on every corner. Who in their right mind would linger in this cauldron of urban filth? Clean up the mall and give it back to the people.
