U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner and his son Thatcher share Colorado’s Palisade peaches with staffers in Washington. The Gardner family is in D.C. this week. (Provided by Gardner’s office)
When U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner posted a picture on his Facebook page of him and his son Thatcher around the Capitol, it inspired a number of comments.
Some were thrilled to see Thatcher, who turns 4 in November, wearing a Colorado Mesa University shirt. The kid is famous at sharing the spotlight with his father.
Michael Rutt: I hope you showed those folks from Georgia what a real peach tastes like.
David Dobbs: Finally some of that Koch money being spent to support someone (the peach pickers) who work for a living.
