COLORADO SPRINGS — Last call may be a thing of the past in Cripple Creek.

All but two casinos in the iconic mountain community are vying to allow around-the-clock alcohol sales — part of a burgeoning trend in the state’s gambling industry that aims to match liquor sales with gambling hours.

Last month, Black Hawk allowed two casinos to serve liquor around the clock, the city’s manager said. If approved by the city’s council on Wednesday, however, Cripple Creek would boast more businesses serving all-hours alcohol than anywhere else in the state.
